Monday Motivations; I Can
Hello everyone and welcome back to another workloaded week of writing. Friends, last week was a bit of a whirlwind – but in an absolutely great way! From sunup on Monday til the time I switched off my light to go to bed last night (around midnight), I was hustling. Recording podcasts, scripting (and eventually)… Continue reading

Foolishness
Hello friends and welcome to another foolhardy edition of Just Another Struggling Writer. I’m just another struggling writer. Friends, do you remember a while back when I talked about Type A personalities, people who have to always be on the go, doing something, never not working and how I have come to accept that I… Continue reading

Monday Motivations; Treading Old Ground
Hello friends and welcome to another wrung-out week of writing. First and foremost, happy Camp NaNoWriMo to those who observe. I, myself, chose to participate and promptly fell behind in my word goal. But, at this point, it would be Just Another Struggling Writer if I didn’t. Secondly, well, I’m back after a second in… Continue reading

WIP Wednesday; Stutter Step
Hello everyone and welcome back to the corner of the internet where I cry about my current work-in-progress, currently a portal fantasy tentatively titled Trials of the Windsong Goddess. Eagle-eyed readers may notice that the status of this WIP has once again been updated. While I’ve been in a state of outlining on and off… Continue reading

WIP Wednesday; Routine Roulette
Hello friends and welcome back to that corner of the internet where I cry about my current WIP. Friends, fellow writers, I come to you on the first day of a new routine. Again, Kerry? You say. Yes. Again. I’m not a morning person. Given my druthers, my day would start at around 10:00 am… Continue reading

Monday Motivations; What is My Foundation Made Of?
Hello friends and welcome to another willful week of writing. I’m thinking a lot this morning about why I succeed at nailing my goals on some days and why I crash and burn on others. What components make up a “good” day and what pitfalls appear on the “bad” ones? How can I build a… Continue reading

Abandoning Self-Rejection and Taking Up Gardening Instead
Hello friends and welcome to another inner-edited edition of Just Another Struggling Writer. I’m just another struggling writer. One of my most annoying traits as a writer is that I do my best brainstorming when I’m lying in bed trying to go to sleep. Due to my insomnia I am very aware of not looking… Continue reading

What Is Writing?
I’m not a big fan of writing advice in general. The creative process simply cannot be legislated into a trendy list of dos and don’ts. Continue reading

Monday Motivations; Lesson Learned
Hello friends and welcome to another multitudinous week of writing. Friends, I’m not off to a great start today. I awoke at four am in a cold sweat, as one so often does when they realize they’d utterly forgotten to complete a time sensitive task. I leapt out of bed and ran to my computer… Continue reading

Am I Even Still A Writer
Hello friends and welcome to another distracted edition of Just Another Struggling Writer. I’m just another struggling writer. Friends, the last seven days have been busy. A good kind of busy, but also a holy-hell-I’m-tired kind of busy. A this-might-be-my-life-for-the-foreseeable future kind of busy. After last week’s public plea seeking feedback on what creative content… Continue reading
About Me
Kerry Share’s love for writing started, as it so often does, as a love of reading at an early age. At age 11 she wrote her first short story, a Harry Potter knockoff of dubious quality, and her love for creative expression was born. Throughout her teen years she continued to foster that passion through derivative work, and at 23 she turned her eye to original fiction.
Now in her thirties, having taken a break from creative endeavors to cope with an ever changing life and landscape, she is determined to make her dream of a writing career reality.
